Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria support a number of junior and adult aquatic and swimming programs across Melbourne.

 

Adult Gym and Aquatics Program (Dandenong)

 

Join this friendly and welcoming group of adults for a weekly session of water aerobics or low impact gym work, followed by a BYO lunch and an afternoon game of Swish if you are keen!  The aerobics and gymnasium work is offered on alternative Mondays and is led by an experienced and qualified fitness professional.  The Swish game is for those who wish to have a play after lunch.  Attend every week or on a casual basis.

Every Monday during school terms (excluding public holidays)

Aquatics/Gym – 11am until midday, Lunch and Swish – midday until 2pm

Junior Swimming Program (Kew)

 

This Vision Impaired Swimming Program offers preschool and primary school children, who are blind or vision impaired, individual swimming lessons aiming to establish a range of early skills to ensure they feel confident and safe around water.

Date and Time

Term 3 dates are:

Sunday 23 July until Sunday 17 September

Junior and Adult Swimming Programs (Dandenong)

 

North Lodge Swimming Academy offers quality aquatic education to people of all ages who are blind or vision impaired in a safe, friendly and controlled environment.  Two pools offer optimal water quality and water depths suitable for all ages to be able to stand, feel comfortable and safe.  A team of fully qualified, experienced, passionate and caring instructors deliver a well structured and disciplined teaching program.

Adult Blind and Vision Impaired Program (Hawthorn)

 

If you are blind or vision impaired and interested in learning to swim, improve your swimming style or simply to enjoy the freedom of splashing around in lovely warm water, we would like to hear from you.  The SEDA swimming coaches will provide assistance to those learning to swim, through to those with well-developed skills.
