On Wednesday the 26th of February, 2025, a group of eight people with vision loss attended the Brunswick Baths for a tour and Active Living class. Staff member, Abraham, explained that the Brunswick Baths has been open since 1914 and runs a whopping 130 group fitness classes each week!
In the Active Living class, the group lifted medicine balls over their heads, swung weights while squatting, pulled elastic bands to strengthen bicep muscles, and did a light cardio work out to a funky 1980s tune.
Afterwards, the group walked to the nearby Retreat Hotel for a pub lunch and a social catch-up.
