Not-for-profit treasurers have a very important job in keeping organisations afloat. This includes working long hours and sometimes not receiving the recognition they deserve. We certainly owe Treasurers a lot, including BSRV’s own Treasurer, Jane Florindo.
Jane joined BSRV as Honorary Treasurer in 2015, taking over from Kaye Speed who had diligently tracked BSRV’s financials for 20 years. Kaye continues her volunteer work with BSRV in the role of Secretary and also as part of the financial management team.
Jane was nominated last year for the 2020 Commonwealth Bank Not-for Profit Treasurers’ awards.
BSRV President Maurice Gleeson said “Jane’s nomination reflects the appreciation and high esteem in which she is held by our organisation. She always undertakes her role at BSRV with enthusiasm and commitment, despite also balancing the demands of a Senior Vice-President position at Exablaze and her family.”
Jane was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Maurice at an Executive Meeting recently, which we hadn’t been able to present to her last year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
