Frankston and District Basketball Association.
The Frankston District Basketball Association (FDBA) has developed an Australian first modified version of Basketball to allow Victorians with blindness and low vision to play this popular game.
People with all levels of vision can play the game in a safe, inclusive and welcoming space.
FBDA currently run skills seasons with mini 2v2 games, and have a junior and senior program available, age is no barrier at FDBA.
To ensure inclusivity, the program offers modified equipment, including a bell ball, sound rings, goggles, floor rings, and a braille map of the basketball court. These adaptations assist participants with varying degrees of vision impairment to take part.
